We would like to introduce the zPod which is an enclosed sensory bed that can bring peace and calmness in between emergency bouts during 24-to-72-hour long shifts.

Features:

  • Control Panel: Take control of lighting, sounds, and fans for a tailor-made sleep environment. (Optional)

  • Light: Circadian LED lighting to set the environment according to mood and sleep cycle, including the option to shut out light for sleep. (Optional)

  • Sensory Regulation: The combination of a hard enclosure along with other sensory-regulating features, helps children self-regulate and manage sensory input effectively.

  • Temperature: Maintain a comfortable environment with fan control that ensures continuous air circulation.

  • Sounds: Bluetooth® speakers that connect with your smart device (e.g., tablet, phone, etc.) to play calming music, or other relaxing sounds to aid in restful sleep.

  • Comfort: An interior that is 6’6” from end to end—enough space to fit a memory foam twin mattress (sold separately) with maximum dimensions of 43 inches wide and 78 inches long.

  • Easy Cleaning: Removable doors ensure changing sheets and interior cleaning is a breeze

  • Easy Assembly: The zPod is shipped flat in three boxes via LTL freight and can be fully assembled by two adults with no additional tools required.

  • Alarm Integration: The zPod can allow alarm integration based on the software that the fire department uses.

According to a Meta-Analysis published by the journal of Global Health that examined 100,000 First Responders, 31% suffer from sleep-wake disorders, 30% from obstructive sleep apnea, 28% from insomnia, and 28% from excessive daytime sleepiness.

Just imagine if we can find a way to dramatically make an impact on firefighters that go through these challenges?

We know that a long shift is meant for working, but what if we could make some type of difference in the ability to have our firefighters feel rested and recovered just that much more?

Imagine being that much more recovered, each shift, 52 weeks a year?

The recovery during each shift will compound and also help firefighters recover from the previous years where they have been battling during emergencies.

Therefore, firefighters will be preparing for the future and recovering from the past with having a zPod.

Imagine a time after a challenging moment in the field and you came back to the firehouse and needed a moment to really gather your thoughts.

...Your not sure if you want to sit out front of the firehouse with the boys for a bit...

...Or, post up with the fellas to play a few video games or watch a movie to let go.

You may actually start finding that you need a moment of quiet time where you can shut the world down for a little bit.

This is where the zPod can be helpful.

What if you had a 20–60-minute peaceful sound session with surround sound speakers where you can let go?

The zPod will not only give you privacy but is actually customizable to just the right sound and lighting that gives you control.

A bed where there are speakers to play exactly the right sounds to take you away for a moment.

Even if it’s only just for 20 minutes, you can have that place where you can have peace and quiet to gather yourself again.

Who knows, maybe the right meditative track through the bed's surround sound could be perfect for that 20-minute resting period.

Think about all of those moments where you were battling in the field to save lives, and you really needed that 20 minutes to yourself, privately, once getting back to the firehouse.

Maybe you just ran a first alarm, and your stress levels are already through the roof.

Or maybe you just ran pediatric cardiac arrest, and you could simply be over the edge with emotion.

Or maybe you just pulled one of your firefighter brothers or sisters out of a fire.

All you know is that once you get back to the firehouse that you need every moment of peace to recover and be ready for the next emergency.

On a tough shift it could be back-to-back emergencies.

And there really aren't any private rooms for you to have a moment of peace to recover from the last call you ran.

You know you will do whatever it takes to serve and be prepared for the next emergency.

However, having the right environment to let go could be more than necessary to feel recovered.

The zPod can become your peaceful get away in the midst of chaos because you will be able to create the right environment for yourself.

Imagine coming back from a really challenging or horrific emergency and your mind is just spinning with chaos.

Again, you know you need to recover as quickly as possible because another call could be around the corner.

Or maybe you're not even thinking about the next call.

Maybe you just need to get back to neutral and that will be enough.

Now, imagine hopping into the peaceful, relaxing, and calming zPod like you see in the picture above.

You can put on whatever sounds and lighting that make you feel at peace so you can let your mind come back down to a tranquil place.

This may be just what you need to feel that much better and not only serve and protect your communities but serve and be there for yourself.

zPods has seen success with 100s of Sleepless Children that were sleeping as little as 1-3 hours per night. After trying a zPod many now sleep 8-10 hours per night.

zPods began with the mission of helping sleepless children around the world find better rest, mainly those that have been diagnosed with Autism and/or sensory processing disorders.

It all started back in 2019 when the founder of zPods, Gary Kellmann, had a son who is neurodivergent and would never sleep in his own bed.

However, Gary was determined to come up with a solution and this is where zPods was born.

Therefore, our main mission from 2019 to 2024 had been working with children like Ethan because that's where the most help was being requested.

We have been helping 100s of families seek the rest they need and have successfully had zPods covered by Medicaid, Insurance, and Non-For-Profit Grant Opportunities.

In the big picture, the zPod could be the most valuable and budget friendly, wellness upgrade for the firehouses where private, quiet rooms are not available for each firefighter.

We understand that some departments budgets are more conservative which makes zPods a first responder financially friendly option.

Not to mention some fire departments do not have the budget to build a new fire department as of yet.

Instead of knocking down walls for new private rooms, the zPod could give your fighters privacy in between emergencies in a barracks style setting.

Firefighters take tremendous risk with their lives every day. Now really is the time for change.

zPods could be the largest game changer that can keep our firefighters healthier so they can keep us safe.

And we know that sometimes it can take time for fire departments to change as they've done something for so long.

Or Fire Departments did not know a solution was available until now.

Let's have a conversation about how we can help our firefighters be healthier and most importantly, safer for decades to come.
